It’s been 18 years since the defeat of the Dark Lord, and many wonder what the Boy Who Lived is up to. Harry Potter has joined Kingsley Shacklebolt’s Ministry, (along with Ronald Weasley and Neville Longbottom,) as Aurors. Their mission is simple- to clean up the magical world.
Hermione Granger, however, returned to Hogwarts in order to finish her N.E.W.T.s and graduate properly. Shortly after, she was hired into the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures where she played an important role improving the quality of life for house-elves and other such creatures.
Her husband, Ronald Weasley, moved from his career as an Auror into working with his brother George Weasley and new sister-in-law Angelina Weasley; around the same time Hermione moved into the Department of Magical Law Enforcement working to rid the world of the old pure-blooded law that had plagued the magical world.
Ginny Weasley went to play for the Holyhead Harpies later retiring, as her husband Harry Potter became the Head of the Auror office, to the Senior Quidditch Editor for the Daily Prophet.
Neville Longbottom left the Aurors to become the new Herbology teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and married the new Landlady of the Leaky Cauldron Hannah Abbott.
Closing out the group is Luna Lovegood who became a famous naturalist and married Rolf Scamander. She is still researching on the sleeping habits of the Nargles.
It is a new age in the wizarding world. Kingsley Shacklebolt is still working on renewing the Ministry, and Minerva McGonagall is also at work with her own renewal as Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It seems the collected world has finally taken a sigh of relief and things are well. Many new and exciting changes have taken place. The Minister is slowly beginning to open up more trades with the Muggle world. Hogwarts is now seeing new staffing and four brand new Heads of House. Each chosen for their stand in the Battle of Hogwarts and the characteristics they showed of their respective houses during the battle. These changes have been called the "reform of the magical world". Many support this reform, and those who don’t are becoming fewer and farther between. The Minister urges all to be aware the Dark Arts will always exist so never completely lower your defenses.
The only thing that has happened in recent times to rally the with the Minister’s words of warning was a small breakout of Azkaban Prison. Several known Death Eaters such as Rockwood, Yaxley, and the Carrows escaped from the wizarding prison almost a month before the opening of Hogwarts. Also with them Dolores Jane Umbridge, who was imprisoned for convicting muggle-borns to severe conditions under unfair trial during the previous Minister’s rein. The Minister has assured he is working with the Head of the Auror office for any leads on these escaped convicts and new methods to Azkaban.
It is a new beginning indeed.

“Although it may not come as blood purity, a new rise in evil will always have the possibility to threaten our peaceful reform. Celebrate, rejoice, but always be aware.” - Quote Minister Shacklebolt
