Full Name: Benjamin Samuel Beshemin
Played By: Orlando Bloom
Birthdate: July 21, 2002
Blood: Mixed
Physical Description:
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 145lbs
Hair Color: Black, shaggy and curly
Eye Color: Dark Gray
First Impression: Unknowingly attractive, unsure of himself, loner
Hogwarts Specific:
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 5th
Wand: 8.78 inches long, cherry wood, phoenix feather core
Pet: None
Personality: One phrase can sum up Ben: Lack of self-esteem. From the time that he was a small child, Ben has always enjoyed flying, and because of flying, Quidditch. He, however, has always convinced himself not to try out, his mind telling him that he was not good enough. In grade school, he was made fun of for his last name. He’s never had a steady girlfriend, although he’s liked many – something else his conscience always talked him out of. He fears rejection most of all.
He hails from the city of Natanya, Israel, where he was born and raised in a flat overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, with his sister, Magdalene, who is six years his junior. His mother is a Muggleborn witch, and his father a pureblood wizard. Ben was raised in a loving home, although a lot of the attention he’d been used to receiving was suddenly taken away when his sister arrived.
The large collection of books that Ben owns can be attributed to his thirst to learn. Since he was a child, he’d dreamed about becoming a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, and so he has. His favorite subject is Transfiguration, and if they offered an Advanced Flying class, he’d be in that class as well. He enjoys being in the sun, and it shows on his bronzed skin. Many days, you can find Ben in the Astronomy Tower, studying in the quiet, or watching the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, which he so longed to be a member of, practice.

Family History: Ben’s immediate family was always supportive of him and the decisions he made. His father taught him at a very young age how to fly and from that sprung his love for Quidditch. His father used to play weekend Quidditch at a friend’s house and he’d bring Ben along to watch.
Pisriotte is a stay at home mother. She stays home with Ben’s sister, Magdeline (age nine) while Samuel heads into the office everyday. Samuel landed a job in the Muggle Studdies Department at the Israeli branch of the Ministry of Magic, which has a small headquarters in Natanya.
Most of Ben’s relatives live scattered across Europe at this point. His grand parents on his mother’s side are from Israel, and on his father’s side, they are from England. He has a few cousins in Israel, but most of his family lives in London or Ireland.
Ben’s mother, Pisriotte, is a mixed blood witch. Her mother (Marie Avaze) was a Muggle who married the Pureblood wizard, Adam Oeuf. Together, they had three children aside from Pisriotte: Adam (Junior) Joshua, and Magdalene. Magdalene was sixteen years old at the time of the Battle of Hogwarts, and was killed, fighting. On his father’s side, his grandparents were Edgar Beshemin and Evelyn Sardinime. They had two children aside from Samuel: Daniel and Laurel. Collectively, Ben has nine cousins, ranging in age from three to seventeen.

Brief Roleplay Sample:
Benjamin sat on the windowsill in his dormitory, overlooking the first Quidditch practice of the season. It was barely three days into the new school year and he still hadn't made any moves. He'd hoped to get up the courage this year to try out, but again, as usual, he convinced himself that he wasn’t good enough for the team.
His black curls pressed up against the glass of the window as his dark gray eyes stared out into the pitch. He wore jeans today, nicely complimented by a plain black t-shirt - it was Saturday. Hogsmeade trips hadn't started up yet, so he was confined to his room. His roommates had found things to do, people to hang out with, but he hadn't.
Sighing lightly, he stood; bored of watching what he wished he could be doing. He pulled his Transfiguration book from his schoolbag and headed downstairs. The common room was even deserted on this lovely late summer afternoon, so Ben headed outside the cold confinement of the castle's stone walls.
Exiting through the Entrance Hall, he found a warm spot in the sun. He particularly liked this spot due to it's lack of other students. Most of them enjoyed the shade trees near the lake, but Ben liked to be in the sun, and it showed on his bronzed skin.
He lay down in the grass and propped himself up on his elbow. Flipping open his book to chapter three, he began to read, studying images of wand movements as he went.
Cake is a lie.
